Gene is lead Spokesperson, singer and songwriter for the popular local musical comedy performance "the Comedics", bringing together a creative assembly of local medical practitioners to form a hilarious repertoire of music, comedy and inspiration for audiences of all ages.
The Comedics have helped to raise more than 2 million dollars for charities and other good causes.

His song Not A Perfect Country deals with residential schools and reconciliation, and the music video was presented to the Children of Shingwauk, residential school survivors and their families
